Chief Financial Officer (PT or FT options available)

Capital CFO+ outsources bookkeeping and financial oversight services to small-to-mid-sized companies and nonprofits. The position is responsible for a roster of clients with flexible scheduling. Position is home office based with on-site work at client locations required.

Our experienced team of consultant CFOs is responsible for managing clients’ finances, including financial planning, management of financial risks, recordkeeping, and financial reporting. Our CFOs are also responsible for the analysis of data.

Duties:

  • Preparation and management of Financial Statements
  • Strategic Planning & Budgeting
  • Ensuring segregation of costs
  • Act as liaison and manage reporting and relationships with a company’s bank, insurance & external auditors
  • Partner Resource: navigate the process with and for our clients to make sure they are covered in all areas of their business.

Experience/skills needed:

  • 1-3 years’ experience as a CFO or controller required
  • Associate or bachelor’s degree in accounting
  • Attention to detail and strong organizational skills
  • QuickBooks, desktop, and online required
  • Deadline-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Confidentiality in all interactions with clients
  • Time management with the ability to multi-task
  • Self-motivated and able to work with minimal supervision

Pay rate: $30-$35/hr. depending on experience

Bookkeepers (PT or FT Options Available)

Capital CFO+ outsources bookkeeping and financial oversight services to small-to-mid-sized companies and nonprofits. The bookkeeper is responsible for recording the financial transactions of a client’s business (sales, receipts, purchases, and disbursements), and ensures the accuracy and creation of internal financial statements.
The Bookkeeper is responsible for a roster of clients with flexible scheduling, working on-site at client locations.

Duties:

  • Maintain the chart of accounts
  • Process invoices, and payments
  • Enter AP invoices and journal entries
  • Asset, liability, and capital account entries
  • Prepare and issue financial statements
  • Maintain an orderly accounting filing system
  • Document all financial transactions and enter account information
  • Assemble information for external auditors for the annual audit
  • Secure financial information by completing data base backups
  • Issue invoices and vouchers to customers/clients
  • Conduct periodic reconciliations of all accounts to ensure their accuracy

Experience needed:

  • Journal entry preparation and account reconciliations
  • Accounting and corporate finance
  • Knowledge of standard accounting policies, procedures, and the accounting cycle
  • Data entry management with reporting skills and proficiency in QuickBooks and MS Excel
  • Attention to detail and strong organization skills
  • Deadline-oriented and able to work in a fast-paced environment

  • Complying with federal, state, and local financial legal requirements by studying existing and new legislation, enforcing adherence to requirements, and advising management on needed actions

Bookkeeping Account Manager

The Bookkeeping Account Manager is responsible for performing bookkeeping duties, training bookkeeping staff, ensuring that contracted services are performed as outlined in Scope of Work for each client, and filling in for bookkeeping staff when needed.

Duties:

  • Bookkeeping for roster of clients: record the financial transactions of client businesses (sales, receipts, purchases and disbursements) and ensure the accuracy and creation of internal financial statements.
  • Initial assessment, reconciling and “clean up” of accounts for new clients before assignment of client accounts to bookkeeping staff
  • Transfer client accounts to QuickBooks online, including creation of Chart of Accounts
  • Onboarding, training and supervision of bookkeeping staff
  • Ensure client continuity of service by acting as “on-call” bookkeeper to fill in when gaps in staffing occur – vacations, sick days, as needed
  • Monitor satisfactory fulfillment of Statement of Work contracted services with on-site checks at client locations
  • Monitor satisfactory fulfillment of Statement of Work contracted services via remote checks of client accounts
  • Other duties as assigned

Experience Needed:

  • Proficiency in QuickBooks online and desktop
  • Proficiency in MS Excel
  • Supervisory experience

CFO Project Lead

The Chief Financial Officer (CFO) Project Lead is responsible for onboarding new client accounts, providing gap services for clients as needed and managing meetings related to teams assigned to individual accounts. The CFO Project Lead works remotely and on-site at client locations. Full-time position includes onsite and remote work as bookkeeper and/or CFO for a roster of clients.

  • Onboarding of new clients in conjunction with Bookkeeping Account Manager
  • Maintain up-to-date working knowledge of all client accounts/procedures
  • Ensure client continuity of service by acting as “on-call” CFO to fill in when gaps in staffing occur – vacations, sick days, as needed
  • Schedule, plan and lead meetings of staff assigned to individual client accounts as needed
  • Preparation and management of Financial Statements
