Victoria Ritter

I studied international relations and economics in undergrad and graduated with my bachelor’s degree from the University of Albany, SUNY in 2017. I’ve always loved to travel even from a young age and studied abroad in India for a semester. I have extensive experience working in hospitality, as well as years of experience in the not-for-profit sector, working primarily in international development and health care. I discovered a passion for numbers, specifically related to accounting and bookkeeping after reading several books on the subject. Also, as a history buff it was fascinating to learn that bookkeeping dates back to the Middle Ages. I started to explore QuickBooks, completing a number of trainings online, and began to seriously look into pursuing a career in bookkeeping/accounting. I enrolled in and completed a certificate course for financial accounting with Harvard Business School Online, and I enjoyed the subject matter so much that I applied, was accepted to, and am currently taking courses towards a Master of Science in Accounting with the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.
